Research

I continued finishing my research today. I found some more benefits for green buildings and I also read a couple articles about some of the green buildings that are being built today. One of the articles that I found really interesting is that hotels are starting to get into the green game and are started to become LEED certified.

Back To Research

The only thing due today was the revised action plan that we did today and that we had to have our blog set up. Being as I already had a blog set up since last year and that I had completed my revised action plan yesterday I had today to continue my research on Green Buildings. I found a lot of good information today by looking on the LEED website. This website has a lot of good information on Green Buildings and things like the Benefits or the LEED rating system. This website also had referred me to other websites for even more sources I can use. I added the two best sources I found today to my project links list on this blog.

Action Plan Revisited

I looked back on my Action Plan that I created back in 11th grade and revised it a bit to match the new final schedule that I will be working with this trimester. We also had to write a paragraph about what are projects were going to be about and what are tangible product will be.

Back to Blogging

I haven't blogged for like five months but now I'm back to it. I have my graduation project class now for the 12th grade. This time it is a two hour class everyday to work on my graduation project. I have a lot to get done this trimester. I have to finish finding notes and creating my outline for my at least ten paged research paper that I will be doing on Green Buildings. Then I have create my website about my project and also create my design of my Green Building on Sketch Up. This all has to be done by about March 10th because that is when we will have to present are projects.

Portfolio

I have been working hard for two hours to put this portfolio together. I had to make a cover page, revise my proposal, print out my collage and essential and foundational questions, print out my outline and notes, print out my interview plan, add websites and books to my work cited, and put it all together. It took a lot longer than I planned but I finally got it done.

Proposal

I had two people edit my proposal today. Mr. B helped me out and gave me a few suggestions to make it better so that I could turn it in for a grade. Then Mrs. Fossum read it while she was grading it and made a few other minor corrections before I put it in my Portfolio.

Interview Complete

I just had my interview with the Project Specialist Eemon Geary from the Green Building Alliance. He have me a lot of good information, a lot more then I thought I would get. After the interview he E-mailed me a bunch of facts and stats about Green Buildings. I also got a video from him that will be useful as well.
